SYS.01 Objective
LINK operates the UK's ATM network. Its ATM Fraud Group brings together the people across banking and law enforcement who work on cash machine crime, a field where success looks like nothing happening.
The brief called for something to mark that contribution. A challenge coin is an unusual object for a payments network to commission: it belongs to a military and emergency-services tradition of recognising service that can't be publicised.
SYS.02 Creative response
Two separate relationships.
- A design proposal. Prepared and issued as A W'A.I Design Proposal For LINK
- Work to the client's own standards. Delivered against the LINK Service Mark Guidelines v2.0
- Medal design for the ATM Fraud Group. Initial concepts 22 January 2024, developed 23 January, final concepts 24 January, three rounds in three days
- Report design. The earlier LINK engagement
- A signed contract. Drafted 5 January 2024, executed 16 January 2024

Three concept rounds in three consecutive days is the notable operational fact: the engagement moved from initial concepts to final concepts inside 48 hours of the first presentation.
SYS.05 The work

Recognition for work that can’t be publicised
Some results are measured in what didn’t happen. That still deserves an object.
If this looks close to something you are dealing with, the quickest route is to say so in a sentence. You will get a real reply from a person, usually with a first read on the problem rather than a calendar link.
