SYS.01 Objective
In September 2023 Rebeccanomics was creating two new trade bodies at once: the Centre for Economic Security and the Sustainable Trade Forum.
STF's purpose was synthesis: to draw synergies across working groups Rebeccanomics already convened, including the ITFA ESG Audit Council and Advisory Board and the Digital ID Working Group, alongside financial services, security and defence supply-chain resilience, and trade education and research.
Its thematic system combined ESG auditing, digital identity, secure financial services and education in international trade, four things that rarely appear in the same conversation. Sustainable trade is usually presented either as policy abstraction or as compliance burden; the work had to frame it as practical infrastructure instead.
The website is the outcome
The identity work led somewhere concrete: the forum's website, live at <a href=”https://stf-global.org/”>stf-global.org, the domain that came out of the naming problem, and the public face the Sustainable Trade Forum operates under today.
That is the hero of this engagement. The mark, the palette, the deck system and the newsletter all exist to serve it.
SYS.02 The website is the outcome
SYS.03 Creative response
Identity, website and public-facing communications, visual and editorial work rather than the underlying research.
That boundary matters and is kept. STF shares intellectual territory with the ITFA and Rebeccanomics programme, but this is forum and platform communication, not the confidential ITFA member research. The two are documented as separate projects.
- The website. <a href=”https://stf-global.org/”>stf-global.org, the forum's public home
- Domain strategy. Both preferred.org domains were taken; W'A.I worked the alternatives rather than defaulting to the unmemorable full name. stf-global.org is the result
- The logo. Drawn to carry the forum's convening role, sustainability, synergy and the working groups it brings together
- Sustainable Trade Platform presentation. Cover and visual development for the platform deck, across sustainability, trade, training and inclusion
- SEO and content. Primary and secondary keyword development for the presentation and site
- The newsletter. September 2024: “Key ESG Regulatory Updates You Should Know”, structured as global, regional and sector updates, a featured discussion on ESG investing in Asia-Pacific, and a close routing readers to stf-global.org
- Positioning. “Fostering Synergy and Innovation in Trade”
A repeatable editorial model
Behind the individual artefacts sat something reusable: translate complex regulatory change into a periodic digest a practitioner can act on; pair global policy coverage with regional and sector interpretation; use education and participation to make sustainable-trade compliance less exclusive.
The Forum becomes the place the standards conversation happens, rather than another body issuing statements into it.
The part worth noticing
CES and STF were founded in the same conversation. One of them went on to become the single largest W'A.I client relationship: the daily monitor, the economic warfare tooling, the Future of Security programme, and the referral that produced the Sovereign Resilience Fund.
At the point this work was done, the two were a pair of names that needed domains.

SYS.07 The work

Two organisations, one afternoon
Some brand jobs turn out later to have been foundation work.
If this looks close to something you are dealing with, the quickest route is to say so in a sentence. You will get a real reply from a person, usually with a first read on the problem rather than a calendar link.
